Bank of Ireland Corporate Banking brings additional value to a transaction as a result of the experience our Agency team has acting as Facility Agent on a wide-range of corporate debt facilities:
- Bank of Ireland was the first Irish bank to appoint a dedicated Agency Team operating in the Dublin market.
- The Agency Team manages 43 large corporate deals with an aggregate value of €9.4bn across a diverse range of companies and markets. These transactions are spread across Europe and the US.
We bring value to the syndicate bank group and the borrower in the management / monitoring of the proposed facility through our:
- understanding, experience and delivery in the role of Agent across a number of debt deal types and sizes.
- detailed knowledge and strong experience in dealing with documentation issues.
- ability to manage large and small bank groups.
- dedicated Agency team, with a separate reporting line to the relationship team, within Bank of Ireland.
- compliance procedures; and
- sophisticated IT systems, which are required to support syndicated transactions, for e.g. the Agency team uses Intralinks as a means of distributing information to banks.
